Origami

This square abstract is inspired by the unique Japanese hand-made washi paper and the custom of folding and creating origami. The canvas is richly textured and the paint is applied with palette knives and brushstrokes creating the effect of creased paper. The colors are distressed, the palette is earthy and soft. Fresh teal and aqua are interacting with rusty brown and neutrals. Ships stretched, sides painted in neutral brown, ready to hang.
