Old Buoys

This marine painting was inspired by the incredible beauty of the small New England towns by the ocean. The lobster buoys hanging on old wooden wall are colorful and have all different shapes. They are painted with attention to detail yet in a contemporary manner. The canvas is textured; drips, layers of paint and sanded areas contribute to the weathered look of the buoys. The color palette of blue, gray, white and red is reflecting this part of the US coast and the ocean.
